This is a montage from the 1967 short film 'Opus' directed by Don Levy, with impressions of contemporary British art, fashion and architecture, starring Ian Holm, Glenda Jackson, Peggy Moffitt, Twiggy, Vivien Merchant et al.. It was made for the Montreal “Expo ’67” exhibition and is a summary of art through the ages, taking in everything from Mary Quant to the Marat/Sade production. It was nominated as best short film at the 1968 BAFTA Awards and the 1967 Cannes Film Festival.
