Every knife needs a good sheath. It is important to me to make a matching sheath for a unique knife. For me, making leather sheaths is a relaxing activity and a change from my other work with steel and wood. I hope you enjoy watching my first leather sheath building video.

A few more notes about the manufacturing process: Although in the video it appears as if the sheath was built in one piece, I made the sheath in 3 evenings. After tooling and staining, I let the sheath dry overnight. The leather I used was vegetable tanned cowhide.
