Song originally written and recorded by the British singer, drummer and composer Phil Collins in 1983, and main theme of the soundtrack of the homonymous film in Portuguese "Passions Dangers", original "Against All Odds", being created for that film of 1984. It reached the Number two in the United Kingdom, number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, number one for several weeks on MTV and the first of seven for the singer in his solo career.
The ballad tells the story in which her protagonist begs an ex-lover to "take a look at me now," one more chance, knowing that reconciliation is "against all odds," and considers it worth a try.
The single's music video was directed by Taylor Hackford and produced by Jeffrey, being released along with the single during the last week of February 1984 and one of the first examples of a highly conceptual approach to creating a hybrid between film / music / video clip, and A success in the 80's both music and the clip, and that draws attention to the 3 rains and 3 sides of the triangle in neon containing 3 colors.
