Viikinkiretkien ja varhaiskeskiajan ajanjaksoilla pohjoiseen alueeseemme kohdistui mielenkiintoa sekä idästä, että lännestä. Suomalaiset heimot saivat niin kutsumattomia vieraita viikinkien ja novgorodilaisten muodossa. Lopulta silloista Suomea ympäröivät alueet valloitettiin kristinuskon toimesta ja tämä uuden ajan usko alkoi hiljalleen valtaa alaa myös meillä. Mitä kaikkea tuona aikana tapahtui, siitä puhumme tässä They Talk Suomen jaksossa.
