We woke up in Albuquerque and the weather was bad. The ceilings were low and the freezing level was below the minimum IFR altitudes for the mountain west. Considering our non-turbo charged plane, we decided the safest thing was to take an airline to LAX.

In Los Angeles we rented a convertible Mustang and started driving the Pacific Coast Highway north. Our first stop was in Santa Barbara where we stayed in a nice hotel, went onto the pier in the harbor for dinner and saw their old courthouse. Then we continued north to Avila Beach where I got stung by a bee and onto San Luis Obispo for Jaime to shoe shop. Finally, we drove up to Monterey for the night.

Next video we continue our trip north in California!
