A video breaking down the many motifs and repeated scenes in the 2010 anime Tatami Galaxy, while also talking about how it personally relates to my views on mental health and absurdist philosophies.

It's been a really long time since I last uploaded a video. To all the people who subscribed during the last eight months when I didn't upload anything...thanks a lot!! I will continue uploading more videos. The next big video I wanna work on I think will be about Spongebob...but I won't promise at all how long that might take.

But yeah. This was a really personal video to make, as Tatami Galaxy was one of my favorite and most personally affecting anime I watched back when I was in college...and the scope of this project ended up being a lot more daunting than I originally anticipated.

As a result, making this video was a super long-winded journey. But after coming up with the idea and starting the outline over eight months ago...I'm extremely satisfied to have finally finished this project, and am very much looking forward to working on different things.

To me, this video provides a testament to how...I can eventually finish something, after being stuck on it...many, many times. Because I have been stuck on how to progress with this video idea countless times over the past eighth months, and have also questioned many times why I was dedicating so many hundreds of hours to such...a small, niche and pretty dated topic haha.

And so to be perfectly honest a lot of times, the journey to make this video....felt really absurd! But despite the absurdity, the video is finally done! And I'm very happy that I finished it.

And to whoever's reading this...if you watched it...then that's even more incredible!!! Thank you!!!

I honestly have very low expectations of people watching this video, because Tatami Galaxy isn't exactly the most prevalent anime today. It was made in 2010 and probably didn't even have that many people watching it at the time, and there are probably even much fewer people still talking about it today.

So I don't think anybody was really asking for this video LOL.

But I really wanted to make this video, because I feel like the thoughts I formulated in this video were something I've just been really wanting to express and preserve in digital permanence on the Internet. And it's like...a raw reflection of the person I am, right now, in 2022, and what I'm thinking and how I view things and stuff...and idk. Much like my Akira video, this was primarily a personally rewarding video to make.

But if you ended up watching...thanks for watching!!! I hope you liked it! Thanks for watching me talk for a whole hour about a pretty old anime!

And also if you want to...please subscribe!!!! I will make videos....on a super sporadic basis. And the topics are usually pretty random: basically whatever I find personally rewarding, which can be highly variable...but maybe you'll find them rewarding too!

Okay, thanks for watching! And also for reading.

I'm gonna start working on another video that hopefully doesn't take eight months to make.
