SINULOG SA LALAWIGAN 2024 CEBU CITY PHILIPPINES (Sinulog for the Youth in Cebu Province) is annual competition for youth contingents from different municipalities and cities under the jurisdiction of the Cebu Provincial Government. The TOP 5 winning contingents will get the chance to dance their way to the Sinulog Grand Parade on next Sunday, January 21, 2024 and compete against out-of-town contingents and winners of Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan. In other words, this is a way to filter out contingents because the Sinulog Grand Parade can't afford to have that many contingents fearing that it may go beyond 9PM where everyone is already exhausted.
This year's Sinulog Grand Parade, there is no assurance that the winning contingents of the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan will join because, although the Governor is not stopping them to join, their respective Mayors still can't move freely on their own will since they are still under the power of the Governor who is not in good terms with the Cebu City Mayor who is the chairman of the Sinulog Foundation Inc..
Lumad Basakanon will be the opening act as guest performer while the Governor will be dancing with the Municipality of Minglanilla for the closing act.
