For 5.5inch (14cm) scissors (or smaller) cut a 6.5 inch square
For 8 inch (20.3cm) scissors cut an 8 inch square
For 11 inch ((28cm) scissors cut an 11 inch square

Mine are an old purchase from Ebay. They are called CAM snaps and I purchases size 5 snaps. Alternatively you can get them from Prym.
