This video shows you tips and tricks for utilizing low-cost supplies to turn your CNC into a powerful multimedia plotter. Specifically chalk, crayon, pen and pencil are custom fit into the DIY CNC drawing tool (see video: "Most Useful DIY CNC tool no one ever told you about" --- for directions on how to make your own for less than $3). Each type of media was shown drawing an artistic design on a poster board for comparison (demonstrations start at 8 min 14 s). Pencil and crayon was also shown using drawing paper. Finally, a real world project is shown and it is discussed how the pencil tool was able to reduce expensive wear on CNC bits while simultaneously reducing CNC machining time. The end of the video lets you see the artistic design previously drawn, CNC'd into wood with an accompanying stand that deals out its own hidden surprise.
