Martín Palmeri wrote his tango mass "Misa a Buenos Aires" in 1996 - he merged the Latin mass text with passionate tango music. Palmeri's mass was performed by the WDR Radio Choir (under the baton of Mariano Chiacchiarini), Minguet Quartet, Victor Hugo Villena at the bandoneon and Marie-Luise Dressen as vocal soloist on 22 September 2018 in the Cologne Funkhaus. Composer Martín Palmeri himself played the piano.
