We are falling in Love with Thailand!

A big part of world schooling is about digging deep into culture and it doesn’t get much deeper than learning about Thailand’s national religion through interviewing local monks. We are grateful to Son and Chaowakorn for not only agreeing to answer our little boys questions, but also being so kind and sweet about it.

This weeks challenge was very much about learning outside of our comfort zone. You will hear us say that you grow outside of your comfort zone. To be honest, although they were welcoming, approaching and arranging for our son to interview a monk felt pretty far out of our comfort zone. So grateful it came together though. Like most 4 year olds he is bursting with wonderful and quirky questions. It made for a very special morning.

The most personal reason we wanted to make this one happen is that as Christians, we believe it is important for our children to grow up learning about and understanding what other people believe in. Learning leads to understanding and understanding and respect are fundamentals of love.
