I’ve made a lot of generators in my time. Many of them have been silly DIY experiments and don’t output much electrical energy. But this time, I wanted to make a simple generator made of Lego that is actually useful - powerful enough to help during a power cut, and compact enough to take anywhere for emergencies.

This Lego gadget is simple enough for anyone to make if you have some magnets and copper wire.
