Last night, September 30 at 2:07 AM the Godfather of stand up comedy Donnie Coy passed with his close family at the hospital in Hamilton, what can you say about Donnie Coy an amazing comedian, a good friend, and at the same time a true trailblazer one of the reasons why there’s Stand-up comedy in Canada is because of Donnie Coy, my first stand up set was at one of Donnie’s clubs in Hamilton, Ontario.
I got to see him at the hospital yesterday and when I left he seem there and not there but I didn’t know the end was near, but I did say to him, I love you Donnie and I could tell he didn’t take it in, so I said it again and he says, I know buddy, all I can say now is my condolences to all his family and friends, anybody that knows Donnie has a story about him and loved him, rest in peace Donnie Coy, love you dude.

Tonight is our Celebration of Life for Donnie Coy. Doors open at 6pm. We'll have a live mic for those who want to say a few words or tell their favourite joke of Donnie's.
