In the fourth lecture, we turn our attention to discussing the relationship between human communities and volcanoes. While volcanoes are fascinating geological phenomena, they pose significant dangers, generating risks and causing disasters. Despite this, we still see communities around the world choosing to remain close to the volcano. This lecture explores the positive and negative aspects of living near a volcano, such as the tourism it produces, good agricultural yields, as well as the profound spiritual and cultural significance of volcanoes to many local communities.
