The Cameron Highlands are absolutely blowing me away, and we are SO glad to take the chance to visit this amazing part of Malaysia!! A big thanks to some good friends for giving us this chance in the first place, and thank YOU today for hanging out with us - this is the first of several adventures up here - I hope you're as excited as we are!

These highlands are located in Central Malaysia, we are staying in the state of Pahang. This video today is between the towns of Tanah Rata, and Brinchang, two of the larger towns in this entire area. Although Pahang includes flat lands as well (its quite a large state), the part where we are staying is at a cool, crisp elevation of over 1,500m a.s.l.

If you do visit Malaysia, I strongly recommend choosing Kuala Lumpur as your first destination, but afterwards I just might choose the Cameron Highlands as number two. Penang was gorgeous, and we had a lot of fun there, but I sort of knew what to expect. Up here in Tanah Rata I can say that between the hiking, the tea fields, the jungle (and the glorious amount of Indian food :) ) it is just a non-stop progression of surprises!
