From 1965 to 1967, while the Beatles changed music, the mellow sunshine harmonies of The Association pushed others off the top of the pop charts. "Cherish," "Windy," and "Never My Love" went to #1, while top ten hit "Along Comes Mary" brought controversy.

Singer/guitarist Jim Yester was a part of that success and went on in the 1990s joined his brother in the revival of Lovin' Spoonful. Yester was nominated for six Grammy awards.
