Just a quick video showing how I replaced the Heater Control Valve in a 1998 Toyota 4Runner. This will be the same process for many Toyotas. The vehicle was on it's way to my house to have the codes read because the check engine light had come on. The owner didn't realize that they had lost all their coolant due to the broken heater valve and they overheated and the engine shut off. Luckily after letting it cool down and replacing the valve and filling it back up with coolant the engine started right up and sounded just fine. I also showed how to free up the heater control valve cable which was really stiff and difficult to turn. After spraying it with B'laster Multi Max lubricant it worked much better and I was able to turn the control smoothly with much less effort.

Tools Needed:
10mm Socket and Ratchet or 10mm wrench
Needle Nose Pliers
Small Phillips Screwdriver
Funnel
Coolant/Antifreeze
