On our backpacking tour through Indonesia we landed in Lombok. The island, located east of Bali, has been spared from mass tourism and offers great beaches, green nature and how could it be otherwise in Indonesia: volcanoes!

More specifically, Mount Rinjani in the north of Lombok. The hike is considered one of the most challenging in all of Indonesia and leads to the 3726 meter high peak of Rinjani, making it the second highest volcano in all of Indonesia.

If you are planning a trip to Lombok and are thinking about climbing Rinjani, you will find all the information in this video.
