Mandy Marchiano, competitive drive has been with her since childhood. When a car accident at the age of 13 paralyzed her from the chest down, she had to re-learn how to do everything in a new way. Years later she discovered adaptive sports and fell in love with wheelchair rugby.

In 2023, Marchiano tried out for the US National Training Squad.
