In this episode a decision was made to demolish the semi circular slab because it was not fully attached to the main slab. It was partially attached with three beams which the present builder said it wasn’t safe. But my former builder never accepts his mistakes. He will argue by saying the three point beam attachment was enough. I believe other engineers may agree or disagree. In the aftermath of the Turkey earthquake where buildings tumbled like dominoes I believe a full attachment is much safer.
