We are what is commonly referred to as a "blended family". We don't agree. Family isn't always blood. When Chad and I married, we became a family. He gave the "big girls" heart shaped pendants. On one side it said "Family is Love" and on the other side it said "Love is Family". That has become our family motto because it does not matter how you came together, it is the love between you that makes a family.
