One of the Japanese legends says that a famous swordsman
Musashi Miyamoto one day stood up for the woman he later fell in love with. However, not wanting to give up the "way of the sword", one night he left his beloved. This love resulted in offspring in the form of a beautiful daughter. Musashi, however, did not know this, having lived for years in isolation. After many years, a young girl sought out the master, asking him to help chase the bandits out of the village. The master, however, was too old and refused to help. The girl left sadly, but Musashi followed the girl. When he reached the village he knew, it turned out that it had been burned and the girl mourned for her dead mother. It was the woman Musashi once left. Torn in conscience, he promised that he would train the girl and in due time she would be able to avenge her mother. Until the end of his days, he never revealed that he was her father. The master also understood why the mother did not tell her daughter who her father was because of the profession he was engaged in and which attracted many enemies.
