As we approach the High Holidays, Rabbi Mark Zimmerman of Congregation Beth Shalom (Atlanta, GA) reflects on the meaning of the Shofar. The Shofar calls us to shatter our complacency, shake up our souls and ask ourselves the difficult questions of life that many of may have avoided up until now. This year during Covid-19 we may not be able to come inside to hear the call of the shofar, but that cannot stop the sound of the shofar from resonating inside of us.
