Making its way back to the runway with a stand-alone show since the pandemic put the world on a time-out, Zurhem needed something special.

For its Spring Summer 2023 collection, the brand that redefined fashion in Bangladesh, particularly for men, chose to move away from the larger than life aesthetic; it was fierce and bold nevertheless.

The collection is all white. A color that is frequently worn to denote virtue and modesty.

White also happens to be what you get when you combine all the colors in the spectrum. The theme of inclusivity — represented by white — was articulated through a theatrical dance performance incorporated on the runway.

Exaggerated sleeves, sheer and occasionally iridescent ensembles, cutouts, a contemporary twist on tailoring, and heavy influence of sportswear made Zurhem’s SS23 collection timeless, slick and edgy.

The message was loud and clear: inclusivity, freedom, love.
