Aloha! 🌈 We are Alexus and Michi: PhD students and an international (Mexican American German) LGBT couple at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, located in Honolulu, Hawaii (Oahu). Alexus is a fifth year PhD student studying Biological Oceanography (Marine Ecology, Deep-sea Biology) and Michi is a fifth year PhD student studying Second Language Studies (Applied Linguistics, Language Teaching).

In this Dublin 2024 Travel Vlog, PhD students and LGBT Couple Alexus and Michi travel to Dublin, Ireland (Europe) for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert Night 2! During these three days in Dublin (vlog), Alexus will be surprising her wife with Taylor Swift concert tickets (Eras Tour). This is Alexus’ third and Michi’s second time seeing Taylor Swift live for the Eras Tour Concert and their first time seeing Taylor Swift in Europe! After our Japan, Greece, and London travels, we spent about 3 full days in Dublin, Ireland sightseeing and going to the Taylor Swift Concert at Aviva Stadium. Aside from the concert we purchased Taylor Swift merch, did some sightseeing (Temple Bar, George’s Street Arcade), visited an Irish pub, and tried some Guinness. It was a short, but very memorable summer trip! We hope you enjoy this three days in Dublin / Eras Tour Vlog! We hope it gives you an idea of what a summer as a PhD student could look like (PhD student summer travel, PhD student work life balance, PhD student life).
