Two techniques described here for winding small and large cables so that they NEVER tangle. The key is to not twist the cable when winding. Most ways of winding cables twist the cable consistently in the same direction but the "Figure 8" and the "Twist Left, Right, Left, Right" techniques assure that cables do not get twisted when wound, and so can be unwound without tangling.
