Description:
We are at the Greek International Airport Elliniko which was the international airport of Athens for over 60 years, until March 2001, when it was closed and replaced by the Athens International Airport.
The film opens from the airport with an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 707. The lens stands on a US Air force Douglas plane which is in the air.
Then we watch a woman of the Olympic Airways who walks along the arrivals runway. She looks at her watch as she holds probably the schedule of the itineraries. We see people at the terminal waiting for the plane and we get back to the woman.
The filmmaker shows us the people from Olympic Airlines who work for the smooth running of the airport, a "Mobil" fuel truck and traffic on the runways. The camera stands on Douglas DC-6B, "Island of Lesvos" (SX-DAM) of the Olympic Airlines which has just landed from Crete. A short shot of an airplane in the air and we get back to the Douglas DC-6B with its passengers disembarking.
The film closes with people moving away from the runway to the terminal and we also see the passenger bus.
