I would like to state here that Indian classical dancing is sacred to me, and in no way am I doing this to take advantage or exploit the art of Indian classical dance makeup, nor am I doing this to disrespect the art form in any way, shape or form. I don't presume to know everything about Indian classical dance makeup but I am parting with my fair share of knowledge from both, a freelance makeup artist point of view and, techniques accumulated by someone who has performed Indian classical dance in the past and whose makeup has received approval and even admiration from three teachers/gurus I have trained under.
