Concepts of Geology is the online platform to gain and share the knowledge of Geology. Geology is the subject where we study the earth from different aspects. The subject will be covered in a sequence of comprehensive classes.

This is a glad to announce that today is the last class of Economic Geology, part one. In the first class (Introduction to Economic Geology) it was decided to cover up the branch in three parts. The first part was the Principles of economic geology which was further divided into four modules. The first three modules those were the Introduction, Morphology and Textures of ores are completed and we are in the last module that is the Application of Microscopy. What were scheduled to be covered in Module-04:

Module-4: Application of Microscopic study
• Paragenetic study.
• Fluid Inclusion geothermometry.

The definitions and types of fluid inclusion along with the limitations and cautions of their study is discussed on the last class. We learned, fluid inclusions are small amount of fluid that was trapped within a crystal. Today we will learn the principles of geothermometry that is the process of estimation of the paleotemperature at which the inclusion was trapped. This is called microthermometry also.
