Turbojet engine: It takes oxygen supply from the atmosphere and consists of
A diffuser at front end and converts K.E. of entering air Into pressure energy.
An expansion nozzle which converts the pressure energy of the combustion gas to high velocity which leaves and produce a reactive force on it. Energy producer consists of combustion chamber/combustor, a turbine and compressor.
Working principle: The atmospheric air from the diffuser enters into the compressor where its pressure and temperature is increased. This air is then entering into the combustion chamber where liquid fuel is injected by fuel pump. The burnt gases then expand in the turbine to produce power which uses to drive the compressor and fuel pump. Then the exhaust gas escaped through
the nozzle and produced reactive force to move the engine.
