Director Om Raut & dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir's recently released film Adipurush has received severe backlash for making a mockery of the ancient Indian epic Ramayana. The movie, starring Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, Devdatta Nage as Hanuman, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, has already been banned in Nepal and it is also facing protests all across India too. Audiences have also criticised the dialogues which prompted the makers to revise the lines and re-release again. In a new interview, Om Raut has addressed the heavy criticism and negative reviews against Adipurush. He said that Ramayana is impossible for anyone to understand and those who claim to do so, they are either fools or liars. He said that they are not calling their film Ramayana but Adipurush because it is one section within the Ramayana.
