EPISODE #67
In this episode, I attempt my longest ride to date... this was one of the hardest things I've ever done and clearly it shows. I'm usually one to try and paint cycling in a good light, but on this day... that wasn't really possible. Some days on the bike can really be a huge mental test and this certainly was one of those days...
I head out to the Mendips area for a few days over the new years period, where I take on this challenge, where others also take on this route... It's dubbed the Full Fat Festive 500 and it's a torturous event held by the Audax Cycling group. Those guys really knoiw how to suffer.
Other than that, whilst I'm down there... I see a couple of friends, go out on some more enjoyable rides and take in the beautiful Somerset area. Oh, and I also had one big final ride of the year... day 365 out of 365, yep that's right... I rode every single day this year! Ouch!
