In this video, we’re cooking up some pulled pork on the Traeger Ironwood XL. Technically, this was my first cook on the new Traeger Ironwood pellet grill, so I learned a few things along the way. But overall, the Traeger produced an awesome smoked pork butt!

We cooked the pork butt at 275 degrees F, and it cooked for about 8 hours. The bark didn’t seem to be as deep as it could have been, but that definitely could be because I cooked it at a bit of a higher temp. Next time, I’ll try my pork butt at 225 degrees F to see if there’s a noticeable difference, but for this video I didn’t want to lose too much light.

I was very impressed by the pellet consumption… It didn’t seem to go through many pellets compared to other pellet grills that I have used, so that’s a plus.
