Der Schweizer Beitrag für den Eurovision Song Contest 2024 im schwedischen Malmö ist laut, mutig und steckt voller Überraschungen. Wie ein guter Popsong, ein ernstzunehmendes ESC-Lied und ein gesellschaftliche Normen hinter sich lassender Act eben sein müssen.

In «The Code» besingt Nemo den Weg hin zum Coming-out als nonbinäre Person. Es ist eine Coming-of-Age-Geschichte, die Selbstliebe zelebriert und die Zuhörenden dazu ermutigt, auch ihre eigene Reise anzunehmen und anzuerkennen.

Das Musikvideo wurde in Prag gedreht und zeigt Nemo gefangen in einem Loop eines Zuges, der ausser Kontrolle gerät. Auf der Suche nach einem Ausweg realisiert Nemo, dass die Antwort in Nemos Spiegelbild liegt, gewinnt an Selbstvertrauen, schafft es durch einen Richtungswechsel aus dem Loop heraus und fühlt sich befreit von den gesellschaftlichen Wertvorstellungen.

2016 war ‪@nemothings‬ «SRF 3 Best Talent» und holte sich 2017 den Swiss Music Award in dieser Kategorie. Nemo gewann den ‪@EurovisionSongContest‬ 2024 im schwedischen Malmö für die Schweiz.
