Buddha's quote “The problem is that you think that time is infinite. Time is finite. It is because we mistakenly think it is infinite that we are lazy or unmotivated to improve. This is a story for people who have a habit of putting off what needs to be done or who are not motivated to improve.

The story follows a young merchant, Gautam, who realizes Buddha's teaching that “time is not infinite,” confronts his laziness, and grows through his actions. He had been putting off his efforts, believing that he would always have time, but after his encounter with the sage Ram, he realizes that time is finite. And by cherishing each day and making efforts one step at a time, he has achieved success and is respected by the villagers. How we use our limited time determines our future. Through Gautam's growth, we too can learn the importance of living in the “present moment.
