Growing up in a broken family, Blythe hopes to find a man who shares her simple desire to have a lasting relationship. She marries Raymond, thinking that he shares her ideals. However, Blythe soon realizes the harsh reality of life when Raymond turns out to be an abusive husband. With two sons to think of, Blythe faces the cruel choice of enduring her suffering to have a complete family or standing her ground for her and her children's welfare.
