The ultra-Orthodox Jews of New York have a secret and difficult to reach town on the outskirts of the city, it is Kyrias Yoel, a neighborhood named after the great Satmar Rebbe. I went to visit this place and ended up crashing the wedding of the grandson of the current rebbe of this community. A way of living life as we are used to, sidewalks for men and women, prohibited smartphones and a world that seems taken from a storybook of a pre-war shtetl (Jewish town in Eastern Europe).
