The J3PO OB-6 Patches: Vintage, Retro, and Beyond — for the DSI/Sequential OB-6 synthesizer.

You can buy these patches for your OB-6 from www.j3po.net

There are 50 patches in this bank and they will load to 250-299 on your OB-6. The cost is $35 USD.

Inspired by the sounds of yesterday and today, this set of patches features tones inspired by the original Oberheim synthesizers such as the OB-X, the OB-Xa, the OB-8, and the Matrix 12. The Bank also features patches from famous songs in the rock, pop, R/nB, and soul genres by artists such as Prince, Rush, Zapp and Roger, Michael Jackson, Toto, and many others. Also featured in the set are patches inspired by retro movies and TV shows such as Netflix’s Stranger Things (music and sound design by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein). Finally, the patch bank features tones that are perhaps considered more “contemporary,” that me and my keyboard buds would use in a live setting: sounds inspired by contemporaries such as Nicholas Semrad, Big Yuki, Christian Almiron, MXXWLL, Cory Henry, The Lesson GK, and many others. I hope you enjoy this patch bank, as it was a lot of fun to create!
