Margazhi – when nights are longer, and early mornings present a subtle challenge to seize a head start! Wake up, dear, or would you rather stay in bed to experience *Andal’s Dream*? 🛌💭

Drawing inspiration from _Nachiyar Thirumozhi_, Andal’s Dream is curated as a musical, immersive, and expressive experience for the rasikas and devotees in all of us. Rendered mellifluously by “Carnatic Twins,” Archana and Aarathi, to poetic verses set to tune by Vid. Sri. RK Shriramkumar, the beautiful expressions and devout emotions of Andal are presented by twelve fine dancers based in India and Singapore.

Varanam Aayiram - for those relatively new to the tradition and literature in Thamizh bhakti—is a recurring theme in Andal’s poetry. It conveys the idea that the poetess wishes to experience the divine presence of Lord Ranganatha and ultimately unite with Him.

The nAtyam component of this production, orchestrated by Vid. Medha Hari, is conceived to transport us to Andal’s world of her supreme love for Perumal as she envisions her divine union with Him, per Vedic customs and rituals.

Each of the dancers walks us through Andal’s dream, transcending time, class, and other material barriers, though it goes without saying that Andal’s dream was on a much higher plane!
