In this episode, I’m out to use, abuse, test and review the cheapest, smallest and lightest generator I could find on eBay.

Sure this unit is cheap, but is it junk or can it withstand some of the tests I put in under in this review?

Generator’s are the surefire way to power or charge your appliances and devices off-grid and don’t rely on the suns rays for solar or stored power from batteries. This being said, not all generators are created equal and certainly don’t have a level price tag.

Not everyone needs a huge generator to power massive loads, including air-conditioning units, heaters, induction cooktops and the like. Sometimes we just need to top those house batteries up, or charge a higher demand devices.

This Gentrax 800W generator ticks all of the boxes on paper. It claims some impressive figures when it comes to power output, peak ratings, noise levels and run times, but can it realistically perform and live up to these claims?

We test this unit in a realistic scenario, testings everything from the rated continuous power output, peaks power output, the output power quality and wave formation, the noise level, run time and I speak about my first impressions and considerations that need to be taken into account if thinking about this unit.
