In today's video, Christian takes a look at three perpetual calendar watches from each of the Holy Trinity brands, each coming in under $100k. The first one up on our list is the Patek Philippe reference 5327, their newest perpetual calendar model. Its Breguet numerals certainly add plenty to the formality side, but it does lose some of the understated elegance that its predecessor, the 3940, had in spades.

Next up, we have a sportier option, this time from Vacheron Constantin. It's their Overseas Perpetual Ultra-Thin, a nearly 30% thinner watch than even their more simplistic time-only models. The dial is a bit too busy, however, with the extra hash marks around the edge of the dial being, frankly, unnecessary. Plus, at $92k in yellow or white gold on the bracelet, and closer to $75k on a strap.

Finally, we have our pick of the bunch, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in yellow gold. The dial is much more constrained and, arguably, more useful, than the setup of the Vacheron, featuring an outer date ring with a separate pointer hand instead of trying to squeeze that information onto an already crowded subdial. The bracelet is even thinner than many of the models that AP currently produce, and that movement, with its solid rose gold rotor, is simply breathtaking. And of course, the moon phase display at 6 o'clock is just stunning. At $95k, it's certainly higher up than everyone else on this list, but it totally justifies the extra couple thousand.
