This video shows the steps I did to replace the upper intake manifold (air plenum) on my 2001 Monte Carlo SS 3.8L 3800 Series II engine. The replacement was need due to material and gasket degradation of upper intake manifold resulting in coolant (anti-freeze) loss or leak near EGR valve stove pipe. During repair I also replaced the Lower intake gasket and valve cover gaskets.

Here is a list of other vehicles that share this same engine and issue: 1997-2003 Buick Regal, 2000-2003 Chevrolet Impala, 1998-1999 Chevrolet Lumina, 1998-2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 1998-1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix
