Diagnosed with stage 3 Metastatic Mucosal Melanoma in the summer of 2018, the next 18 months were followed up with every treatment in existence to try to fight this beast. Quickly metastasized to stage 4, all previous treatments were able to hold the disease at Bay and keep it stable but Time had run out. Told there was only one option left and needed to try for a clinical trial that was quickly closing. This trial was TILs. After signing consents, and doing everything necessary for the process required, at the last minute I was kicked out due to brain metastasis, and had to fight insurance for approval to get radiation to stabilize the disease to re-enter the trial. After receiving five doses of radiation in four days and scanning on Christmas Eve , on 3 January less than two weeks later, the news was given that it was stable and reentry to the trial was allowed. Admitted to the hospital on January 8, 2020 and started the chemotherapy lympho depletion to bring the white cell count down to zero and leave the body at a blank slate. After receiving TILs(Tumor Infiltrating, Lymphocytes), Infusion on January 15, 2020, it was followed up by six doses of IL-2 (Interleukin) given every eight hours. I completed all six doses by January 17 and was released from the hospital on January 20, 2020 and that was the last bit of cancer treatment I ever did. Within less than a year I had a complete metabolic response of scanned, cleaning, clear ever since. this video, I thought was lost, but was recently found and shows what it was like going through the IL-2treatments and the side effects of rigors. Literally, some of the most intense and painful part of the whole process. It’s a little hard to watch but with some help and some music I was able to get through it. #celltherapytreatment #CellTherapy #TILtherapy #TILs #TIL #mucosalmelanomasurvivor #mucosalmelanoma #Endcancer #believe #shareyourstory
