東急8500系は東急田園都市線で2023年の1月まで活躍していましたが、現在は引退済みです。3種類のモーターがあることが特徴で、東洋、日立、東芝の3種類のモーターの音を聞けるのが特徴です。また、低速域でのモーターの冷却を高めるために、高速走行時の走行音が非常に大きいのが特徴です。また10両編成の場合、10両中なんと先頭車を含む8両が電動車なのも特徴です。
田園都市線で8500系は、8590系、2000系、5000系列とともに活躍していましたが、惜しまれつつ2023年の1月に引退しました。

The Tokyu 8500 series was active on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line until January 2023, but has now been retired. The feature is that there are three types of motors, and you can hear the sounds of three types of motors: Toyo, Hitachi, and Toshiba. In addition, in order to improve cooling of the motor at low speeds, the running noise at high speeds is extremely loud. Another feature of the 10-car train is that 8 of the 10 cars, including the lead car, are electric cars.
The 8500 series was active on the Denentoshi Line along with the 8590 series, 2000 series, and 5000 series, but it was retired in January 2023, being missed.
