Shabani was chasing away his son Kiyomasa when he tried to approach his female Ai.
This behavior is a natural habit of silverback gorilla, and he is not particularly jealous or angry with Kiyomasa.
Recently, the black back gorilla Kiyomasa has been frequently acting alone, but Shabani occasionally approaches him to communicate with him.
Shabani is fulfilling his duties as the leader of the troop and father.

Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.
