►Today we found out just how much the Royal Family cost taxpayers over the past year - £100 million pounds. It's called the Sovereign Grant and a figure is set every year to pay the Queen and other members of the Royal Family for their duties such as attending receptions and official engagements. It's more than the £86 million pounds that was originally set as the allowance, but the ongoing refurbishment of Buckingham Place pushed their finances over budget. It means they cost every person in the UK £1.29.
