This morning, I joined First Lady, H.E. Mama Rachel Ruto during the launch of the Professional Association of Nyanza (PANY) Women Strategic Plan 2024-2028 in Nairobi.
I must commend the women from the region for their commitment to the full participation of women and equal opportunities in all aspects of society. We must all join hands in ensuring we bring women on the table in every area of our society.
As a nation, we have taken steps to protect women's rights and have made significant strides in breaking barriers through the implementation of favourable initiatives for women and girls.
Present were Cabinet Secretaries Eliud Owalo, Aisha Jumwa, Florence Bore, and Ezekiel Machogu, Chair of the Council of Governors Council and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei, Lady Justices Joyce Aluoch, Effie Owuor, Former IEBC Vice Chair Lilian Mahir-Zaja, Evans Kidero, Fred Outa, Nicholas Gumbo, and Betty Adero, among other leading women professionals from the six counties of the Nyanza region.
