How is it to make a living out of your passion? How does it feel when Madonna is wearing something you have made? 🧐

We went to ask Taavi Mäkelä, a textile designer, what is success for him. He is making crochet hats: beanies, bucket hats, and balaclavas, but also art pieces. When Madonna 2022 wore a bucket hat that he had made, he felt unreal. It was such a big and important moment for him that it was almost overwhelming. 🤩

Taavis creations are colourful and even wild, and he has a style to combine ancient, traditional, and kitsch elements in his works.
