We started our wedding journey by searching for the perfect wedding planner. Other than nailing down the venue, that was probably the largest decision that determined the outcome of our wedding. We immediately knew she was the right fit: she had done numerous weddings at our cliff-side resort venue. She was so kind in walking us through all the logistics, even before we committed to her. She was clearly experienced in small weddings, as well as 500+ person extravaganzas. We were looking for a 150 person intimate experience, but we also wanted to wow and indulge our guests. Ria knew the right touches to give our guests an experience they would always remember: party favors waiting in their honeymoon suites, instagram-worthy matcha lattes at their all-you-can-eat ocean-view breakfasts, free-flowing alcohol, fire-dancers to lead guests to dinner, staff dressed in traditional Indonesian wedding garments to serve dinner, guests enjoying the reception under a free-standing garden canopy. Ria would take our nebulous ideas and offer real-world suggestions at every turn. She’s seen it all. We trusted Ria to put together a fantastic event, and that is what she did. If you are the type of couple that are detail-oriented, Ria can cater to that. However, we were more of a relaxed couple and our brief was really for our guests to have a fantastic experience since they were traveling all the way from the US to celebrate with us. Planning was not stressful because Ria did all the hard work - we got to show up and enjoy! The few things we felt strongly about (ex: videographer, our unique take on a tea ceremony), Ria was easily able to customize our requests.

One of the greatest advantages is Ria’s well-trained team. She has a fantastic team that she has invested years of time and effort into training so that they are already to deal with any hiccups on your big day. We never had to worry ONCE about corralling family members or where to be at what time. We were impressed by the team run-down the day before the festivities began. We met at the venue in a board-room style meeting with all the vendors. This was very helpful to eliminate any last-minute surprises and made us feel more prepared for what was to come.

In addition, our family members and friends felt well taken care of (and pampered) by the staff. There was always an assistant or guide at hand. We all had last-minute speeches that needed to be printed and Ria’s team seamlessly prepared those for us on classy-looking note cards. They had a solution for every small detail!

Ria stayed well past her wedding planning duties were over to make sure our afterparty went well. It is clear that Ria genuinely enjoys her job and takes great gratification in seeing her couple happy on their big day.

Even after the wedding, we had a few remaining requests and Ria was happy to accommodate. For example, we loved our neon reception sign and wanted to keep it, so she arranged for it to be sent to our home in the US. A true luxury experience from start to finish.

In summary, we couldn’t have been more thrilled with our wedding. If you are looking for a stress-free experience where you and your guests can actually enjoy your big day without feeling overwhelmed, you cannot go wrong with Luxury Weddings Indonesia.
