The automotive market in the United States differs from the rest of the world. In the USA, it's quite normal to spot gigantic cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks.
This wasn't the case in the late 1960s. We saw a revolution in the late 1970s when smaller cars started to become more fuel-efficient due to government regulations.
